Children's Classes
'I spent (almost) sixteen years attending Hertsmere Academy of Performing Arts, and I loved it. I began by learning ballet and later on started jazz and street dance, all were taught to the same high standard. I always felt supported and encouraged by Chahna and the school, we were definitely pushed to the best of our abilities but classes were still fun. I felt well prepared for exams and consistently got a good mark, along with the rest of the class. I have many fond memories of the shows I performed in with the friends I made, definitely one of the best parts was performing to so many people, it is such a good experience for growing confidence. (I also loved wearing the costumes!) The choreography was very creative, each dance was a challenge but that made the accomplishment of learning them even greater. I had a really great time here throughout my entire childhood, and it sparked a love for dancing that will stay with me for life. '

'I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hertsmere Academy and have fond memories of the fun and enjoyable classes, as well as the exciting show productions.
Chahna Morgan taught me Ballet for 12 years and I couldn’t have wished for a more dedicated, enthusiastic and professional teacher. She was always challenging us to be our absolute best and this was reflected in the excellent exam results achieved by her classes.
My love for Ballet comes from the amazing teaching provided by Chahna, and her supportive nature ensures all students are encouraged to never give up.
My Ballet lessons also taught me invaluable life skills such as perseverance, resilience and patience, which I have taken forward with me during my time away at university. I feel extremely lucky to have been part of such an incredible school and to have been taught by Chahna, who is an incredibly talented dancer and teacher. I will forever remember my time at Hertsmere Academy with fondness and a smile'. - Aimee Kent
'My six and nine year old daughters loved doing tap and ballet at Hertsmere academy of dance. It is a down to earth dance school where technique, self esteem and teamwork are important values. Discipline and the well being of the pupils is a real focus of Miss Chahna and she is incredibly easy to talk to about any concerns or questions we have had. A real highlight was the annual dance show which was all about fun and positive learning. It was a great experience, put on by a supportive, well run and organised school of dance' - T. Behr
"I have had the absolute privilege of being taught by Miss Chahna since the age of 5. Chahna’s style of teaching is unparalleled to any other dance teacher I have had during my 16 years of dancing. Chahna always has her students’ best interests at heart, and with hard work will help anyone achieve their dreams. When I successfully secured a much sought-after secondary school place through dance, it was Chahna who took the time to choreograph and teach me the dance. It is a testament to her kindness, patience, and dedication that she gave up her personal time to give me one-on-one classes.
I feel extremely privileged to have been taught by someone who has completed their dance and teaching qualifications at prestigious institutions, and who consistently keeps up with the latest professional developments. Because of this, I have always felt safe in Chahna’s classes, knowing that I would not only be learning correct techniques but that I would be executing them in a safe manner which decreases the risk of injury. This is something I am particularly grateful for, as someone who started dancing from the age of 5 with Chahna; learning poor dance technique at a young age could have meant spending a long time correcting any errors further down the line.
I am forever grateful that I have the opportunity to be taught by Chahna. Now that I am a mature student, Chahna is not only my dance teacher but also a friend figure I know I can turn to for advice and guidance. - Aurélie 22"
